We are certified to design and manufacture electrical pressure hull penetrators, subsea electrical cable terminations, harsh environment electrical and optical composite cables, tethers and umbilicals.

• Subsea armoured cable manufacture

  

  Hydro Group plc is at the forefront in the manufacture of subsea connectivity products with involvement in R&D, prototype development, project management, and product manufacture. Cables are manufactured in our state of the art facility in Aberdeen, starting from the bare conductor to extruding the insulation, laying up of components, braiding, armouring, and final extrusion.

• Hose bundle laying up procedures

  

  Hydro Group plc has the in-house capability to lay-up hoses, electrical cables, fibre optic cables and other components into one ‘twisted’ composite bundle, known as an umbilical. Our purpose built lay-up process allows hoses, cables, strength members and other components to be integrated into complex bundles. These bundles may be utilised in umbilicals as a composite assembly.
